My 3 Year Old

Dear Lillian,

Stop growing up!! You are SO darn cute right now...I am nervous the teenage years won't be so "cute".

Love,
Mom

Bringing my little Lillian into this world is a story that I will never be able to forget. It was by far my most interesting labor story I have had out of my 3 little ones. You can read it or re-read it here.

Lily is the one that has added the most interesting element to our family. She is constantly surprising me with her talents and her uncanny ability to analyze situations and explain them in such a way that is far beyond her years. She is truly hilarious and has quite the comedic timing for a 3 year old. Her artistic ability is improving by the day and I love the little stories she comes up with to accompany each drawing. She is also quite athletic and steady on her feet. She luckily didn't get much of her Mommy's clumsiness.

We celebrated Lily's 3rd birthday on Cinco de Mayo. She wanted a Dora themed birthday party. I decided to go with a fiesta type theme and knew all she would care about was her gifts and the pinata...and I was right. :)

We love you Lillian!

Good Guys vs Bad Guy

Today the girls and I were playing. Brookie & Lily were the Good Guys and I was the Bad Guy.

I had been tackling them and throwing them in jail/on the LoveSac. I had turned Brookie into a bad guy with me and we were trying to bring Lily to the Dark Side. She decided she wasn't too happy with the way things were going. She stood in the middle of the living room and says "Just a second. We have a problem here. You are supposed to be the bad guy and chase us. This is a problem."

She said this all VERY seriously.

Should I be worried? ha ha

Say Hi to Jesus!

Lily is our little artist.
She LOVES to draw...and she is VERY good at it as well.

This is far from her best work. This is just something she drew today.

Lily has to draw with a pen. That is her tool of choice.

Lately, I have had a problem with Lily drawing on her hands and arms.
Last week, she came to me with her hand behind her back. She says to me "I draw Jesus on my hand!" Before I could say anything, she quickly pulls her hand out from behind her back, puts her hand out as if she is waving and says "Say hi to Jesus!"

How do you get mad at that moment? I was shocked at first...then found immense humor in the whole thing.
This is now my favorite Lily moment of all time.

.Lily the Computer Monster.

.Oh My.

Lily continues to pick up on EVERYTHING that we say.

She even uses the phrases she picks up correctly most of the time as well.

One Saturday morning, Lily joined Aaron, Greyden and I in bed. She snuggled in between Daddy and Greyden.

I was just laying there, enjoying my 2 sweet babies when Greyden launched his spit-up right into my face.
Without missing a beat, Lily just looks right at me and says "Oh my!"

Yes Lily...that's exactly what I was thinking. :)
